I'm a journalist, essayist, and author of the memoir The Wild Oats Project, which has been published in twelve countries and eight languages. My jobs have included Contributing Travel Editor at Sunset magazine, Executive Editor of the San Francisco city magazine 7x7, and a stint as an award-winning food columnist for Philadelphia Weekly. My work has appeared in The New York Times, Atlantic, Poets & Writers, Oprah Magazine, Yoga Journal, and others. I've authored two dance books, Ballet and European Dance, and a travel guide called Moon MapGuide San Francisco. On the side, I'm a certified yoga teacher who will one day launch a series of vinyasa classes based on my favorite music albums. That's after I finish up my current memoir, The Bookie. I'm available to help writers at all levels conceive, package, and edit their manuscripts for both essays and book-length projects.
